NIWIMNRO’s Partcipation at the Africa Energy Forum (AEF) 2025

The Africa Energy Forum 2025 that was held in Capetown, South Africa brought together stakeholders from across the continent and beyond to discuss innovative solutions for Africa’s energy future. The event featured high-level panels, exhibitions, networking sessions, and strategic meetings aimed at unlocking investment and collaboration opportunities in the energy sector. NIWIMNRO actively participated in the forum, attending the opening ceremony and showcasing our work for Artisanal Women Miners at our dedicated exhibition booth. This platform provided a valuable opportunity to engage with global leaders, energy experts, and potential partners who showed keen interest in our initiatives, especially around gender inclusion in the mining and energy sectors.

A key highlight was the fruitful meeting NIWIMNRO had with the EnergyNet team including Simon Gosling, Gemma Gosling, and others where we explored future collaboration opportunities. The discussion not only strengthened our relationship but also sparked enthusiasm from the EnergyNet team about visiting Nigeria. The forum as a whole served as a powerful space for NIWIMNRO to amplify its mission, build strategic alliances, and explore cross-sectoral partnerships that can drive sustainable development and gender equity in extractives and energy.
